Being conscious about our catering is the underlying value we hold in our kitchen. When we are conscious about what food we prepare and how we prepare it, its vibration holds strong positive resonance. This positive vibe can then be absorbed by those eating the food ultimately making the meal healthier, better tasting, and more satisfying and thus, when consciously consumed, more holistically beneficial.
The first, and most important, aspect to consciously serve you is to set an intention. This is accomplished during our first consultation. We ask you to think about what experience you would like, and why, and to set an intention. In understanding this energy, our staff then holds this vibration to build on the momentum and create the desired experience to best serve you and those you Love.
Chef David Edwards discovered his passion for cooking, inspired and encouraged by his mother. From the early age of five, David felt ‘at home’ in the kitchen and at every opportunity was by his mother’s side cracking eggs and rolling piecrusts. This love led him to begin studying Culinary Arts in 2004 in New York. While in high school and college, David gained experience working in many restaurants and catering businesses while attaining a business degree and eventually moving to California.
Within the next few years, David will graduate with a MS Degree in Nutritional Science and Wellness. Prior to pursuing his studies in Nutritional Science, he began cooking intentional, nourishing meals for gatherings and events and there was no looking back…thus was born The Conscious Caterer. David is proud to call his unique catering and food education experience his first solo proprietorship with roots in healthy living, setting intention, and recognizing and being grateful for abundance.
So much love and intention goes into the food we cook at The Conscious Caterer, but what about the ingredients from which the food is prepared? The best. We source all of our produce, meat, fish, poultry, dairy, and breads from local farmers markets and conscious establishments. Chef David Edwards shops the markets himself and designs personalized menus with food that is Seasonal, Organic, Unprocessed and Local.
The main ingredients in every dish and the overall theme of your specialized menu is based on season and location. All of the food is grown, raised, baked and sourced in California from conscious farmers, ranchers and artisans who practice sustainably, organically and morally with the best of intentions.
